How are your New Year’s resolutions going? Here's an opportunity to further both your community-involvement and personal-fitness goals at the same time. The Zayante Firefighters Association will host yoga every Friday, from 11 a.m. to noon, in the Z community room at Zayante Fire Station 1, located at 7700 E. Zayante Road in Felton. The yoga will blend yin, restorative, and traditional yoga practices that are gentle and appropriate for all fitness levels. On Saturday, July 4, we’ll host a Fourth of July commemoration and flag raising from 1 to 6 p.m. The Fourth of July is a special day at the winery. It is the anniversary of the rededication of the Burrell School back to the community and town of Burrell in the year 1890.
The original school house burned during a grass fire in 1889. It only took town residents one year to rebuild and reopen the school. Come, tip a glass, and help us celebrate this historic event. On Sunday, July 19, we welcome Suzy Rad(onsky) to the tasting room for a closing artist reception, from 2 to 5 p.m.
We’ve been fortunate to feature Suzy’s artwork in our tasting room for the last two months. This is your chance to meet Suzy and see her art before it’s gone. We are grateful for the time we had Suzy’s amazing art displayed.

Sheri is a resident of the Zayante Fire Protection District and is certified in Hatha, restorative, yin, and stand-up paddleboard yoga practices, as well as sound therapy. Sheri teaches this class and another yoga class as a volunteer instructor in Los Gatos, so she fits in well with the volunteer fire department.
Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing, bring a yoga mat, and two beach towels or a yoga prop. As a hobby, Sheri makes botanical sprays from her garden and local Zayante Canyon plants. She uses these sprays, as well as recorded nature sounds from the canyon, during the classes.
The Zayante Firefighters Association asks for a suggested donation of $15 for the class and the use of the building. Payment can be made with cash, Venmo, PayPal, or a personal check. The money will be used to purchase firefighting and emergency- medical-services equipment.
The Zayante fire district covers 18 square miles and includes the communities of Zayante, Lompico, Olympia, and parts of unincorporated Los Gatos in the 95033 area.
