Authentic Connection

An Interactive Communication — Workshop

By Anne Evans

Authentic Connection

Skyland Church kicks off a new season of free wellness workshops focused on personal growth, connection, and purposeful living. Join us on Saturday, November 7, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., for an interactive communication workshop, followed by lunch. This is a free event, although donations are appreciated. It will be in Whitaker Hall at Skyland Church, 25100 Skyland Road.

Jaime Domond from Cups of Yoga will begin our morning with breathwork and seated yoga poses. Jean Morrison and Mark Schneider, the creators of The Communication Playground, will discuss ways to build and practice meaningful connection. Through group discussions, vibrant questions, and hands-on exercises, we will explore communication tools in an emotionally safe, supportive setting.

Jean Morrison is a certified trainer with the Center for Nonviolent Communication (CNVC) since 1989. Jean brings 35 years of experience in mediation, training, and communication coaching for individuals, couples, and organizations. Mark Schneider is an executive search firm owner who has studied communication for nearly three decades. Mark has collaborated with Jean for years to share Nonviolent Communication (NVC) principles and practical connection skills.

Following the workshop, we will serve a delicious vegetarian lunch catered by the Summit Store. Register at SkylandChurch.com/way- to-wellness-fall-2026/ or through the Skyland Church Facebook Page. For more information, call 408-353-1310. Your timely registration helps us plan for a successful event. This wellness workshop is open to everyone. We look forward to seeing you.
