Artist of the Month: Mary Ellen McTamaney

Skyland Church is delighted to feature Mary Ellen McTamaney as the October artist of the month in Whitaker Hall, at Skyland Community Church. Her work can be viewed from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Sunday through October. Mary Ellen shared, “My parents supported me taking art

lessons starting before I was 10, and I took the bus on my own to the Pasadena Art Institute every Saturday. I loved going, and could choose to work with clay, paint, or drawing. I have been creating art ever since. I have worked in many mediums: pastel, watercolor, printmaking, acrylic, charcoal, and graphite.

It’s fun to be expressive and I love color. I am happy to share my work.” Skyland Church is at 25100 Skyland Road.
