A Little Mountain Magic

Annual Tree Lighting

Join us for the third-annual Mountain Community Complex tree lighting on Thursday, December 3, from 5 to 8 p.m. This free community celebration is one of the special mountain traditions that feels like stepping into a holiday movie. Neighbors gather, children run around, music fills the air, and everyone seems to meet someone they haven’t seen in a while.

The evening will have everything you need for a festive night out, starting with five food trucks serving up dinner and treats. Some will offer the option to preorder through their apps, so you can get your food ordered and spend your evening enjoying the festivities instead of waiting in line.

Local musicians will provide the holiday soundtrack, with a special appearance by the Summit Sisters, adding to the festive atmosphere as neighbors and families enjoy the evening together.

At 6:30 p.m., the lights go on! Every proper tree lighting needs a little Christmas magic, so Santa will be there, too.

“What makes this evening so much fun isn’t just the food, music, Santa, or the tree lighting. It’s the people. It’s a chance to catch up with old friends and meet new neighbors,” said Scott Green.

There’s something pretty special about having a place where our community can gather for an evening like this, here on the mountain. So mark your calendar, bring your family, invite a neighbor, and join us.
